i had this idea week ago, but came to conclusion this is not possible.

macros can be assigned to sound design controls.

edit play style influences midi data and you can change them before you record them. or am i wrong?

It’s not possible to control Edit Play Style controllers with macros, or CC. MIDI editing should be done in the Grid Editor, or in Edit Play Style.

    • One reason that it is like this, is that Edit Play Style operates on the selected block(s), and not on the timeline, meaning that the macro would affect the currently selected block, instead of the one you wanted.
    • Another reason is that some MIDI moves has a latency, it need to recalculate where the new MIDI notes should be, leading to a glitch in the playback – if done in real time.

What are you trying to accomplish? Maybe we can help you.

    For example:

    • If  you want to change the amount, velocity, or powerhand after a certain time, cut the block there and add more amount on the second block
    • if you want to increase, or decrease, velocity over time, use the slope controls in the Grid Editor
      • (found above the Velocity track, on topmost left and right sides)
