I also notice that the associated computer ID also has extra digits/letters all of a sudden. These extra digits/letters (both for the comp ID and authorization code) are only being displayed for the Classic. All other libraries still work fine.

the latest version of Superior/EZdrummer do indeed implement a more resilient copy protection system – as in helping to not lose ‘authorization status’ with hardware configurations changes (on the PC side, typically due to adding and removing plug-n-play network devices).

So yes, the longer IDs are part of that new scheme. Just paste your serial number for the Classic and hit ‘Authorize’. The new authorization should take the place of the old one, so you won’t burn through an extra code allowance.

    Hi Rogue,

I tried to authorize it in superior drummer and it was still showing me the old computer ID so I figured from what you had said that my version of SD2 wasn’t the latest – sure enough I was on version 2.3.0 so after I updated SD2 authorization worked. I wonder if it had something to do with me also having EZDrummer which presumably is the latest version, and maybe there was some conflict between EZD and SD2 that caused this authorization issue. It’s just curious that the Classic suddenly ‘decided’ it wasn’t authorized and yet all other libraries were fine. Anyway thanks for the help
