OK I love EZDrummer.
BUT.
The authorization system is not up to the standards of the software nor is the support.
I upgraded my Mac OS to SnowLeapard.
This meant that I now have to reauthorize Twisted Kit and Nashville.
WHY?
Same computer, same HD, but now I have to use up an Authorization and waste my time doing it just because I am staying current with my Mac OS.
WHY?
So anyway I did not get mad and just followed the authorization steps to the letter.
I got the authorization code email and pasted the number in the appropriate spot.
Did not work authorization failed.
Reported.
Now this was starting to get to me.
I got a no reply email from the Obedia guy telling me to DL toontrack player and do the authorization in it (instead of logic).
I tried, got the same result AUTHORIZATION FAILED.
So I go to Obedia go through their login routine find my account and find the case and after taking an age to load the case turns up as “closed”
WTF?
Who said the case was closed?
The issue is unresolved.
I still want to use my product and I still can’t.
What is going on there? Your support people just decide the issue is closed without even bothering to check whether it is or it is not? You send out support emails that cannot be replied to and that do not resolve the issues?
WTF???
For all those who like fiddling around with authorizations every time they change anything about their systems I am sure the toontrack authorization concept is heavenly but for those of us with lives and careers outside of fiddling around chasing down authorization codes could we please have the option of putting our authorizations on Iloks so we do not have to go through this pointless exercise?
iLok is easy you only have to do it once AND IT WORKS!!
Logic 8
Yes. Please, Toontrack, give use an iLok option! The current scheme stinks. I had to authorize with my wireless off, because if I have it on and authorize, I must ALWAYS have the wireless card ON. Which, as anyone can probably guess, can cause problems. So, I can never have my wireless internet up and run EZDrummer (Or SD2) at the same time, unless I want to stare at an “authorization required” message.
I already lost one authorization to this crap. I have several products on my iLok, and I can move it between my Mac and my PC without problems. It just works! I never thought I’d say, “I like dongles.” But, compared to the current scheme, it would be much less problematic.
Hi guys,
really sorry for the problems you’ve experienced with support and authorization issues. I have removed all your inactive authorizations, so you haven’t lost any.
Dgunn, please write your email address and I’ll get back to you and see if we can solve the problem directly. Write it like name (at) name.com, to avoid spamrobots picking it up.

Hi, ya i just installed EZdrummer on my mac. Im trying to get these korg nanos going. I did all the downloading new versions and computer ID stuff and now after ive sent the serial, the authorization code I get is invalid. Please help.
Hi Support is very limited for the Lite versions, I’m afraid.
The procedure goes like this:
1) Register the product with the serial number
2) download the available updates
3) Install and launch the plugin
4) The Authorization screen shows your Computer ID, which you copy and use when you click ‘Authorize product’ in your Toontrack account.
5) The Response code you are presented with should be copied and entered in the Authorization screen
6) You are now Authorized
If the Auth process fails, please double- and triple-check that you have entered the Response code correctly; check that the Computer ID is the same as when you started the Auth process and generated the Response code.
Best Regards,
John

If you change your setup, always try to activate your TT product with the current activation key. It might work! That way you do not lose activations for nothing.
Just got my iMac out of the shop–major repair: replaced logic board and video card (thank God for Apple Care).
My problem: Just tried to open EZ Drummer & got a pop up box saying I’m not authorized.
Of note:
1. The computer ID number in the pop up box is different than the one I had before (which I still have in my records, if that’s helpful).
2. When I enter my authorization S/N I get another pop up saying “EZdrummer authorization failed. Please check codes and try again.” (I did! Same result.)
3. I purchased EZdrummer + Nashville and Vintage Rock expansions and registered all 2 yrs ago. I have confirmation email from Toontrack, plus credit card transactions etc.
4. This is the same computer these products were installed on and registered for–not another computer. I don’t need another installation. This iMac simply has a new logic board (installed under Apple warranty by Apple tech).
What to do to get EZdrummer & expansion re-authorized?? I’m finishing a recording project this week, have sessions scheduled for the next 3 days! Help!!!
(Thanks!)

changing a logic board is pretty much equivalent to changing computer. Please log into your Toontrack account (using your yahoo address) and re-generate codes for all 3 products.
