I own both EZ drummer and Superior and multiple libraries, it’s the VI I use day in and day out. I now have an issue with my authorizations being used up? My Song writing partner has an instance running in our other studio, I purchased a new 27″ i7 imac a year or so ago from my old G5, so I used authorization #3 for the imac upgrade. I just had apple replace a bad Hard drive in the new i7 that went bad now I’ve used authorization #4. Now I’m screwed when the next hard drive or PC upgrade happens. I will not buy an iloc, it’s a sham I’ve owned 2 of them already in the last 8 years. Am I now locked out of my paid for software? Someone please help this poor soul over here, my software is paid for and I’m cunfuzzeld.
Warm Regards

So, do you need a new authorization yet or are you wondering about the process when you do need one?
If you don’t need one yet, just let us know when you do and we can free up an authorization.
Also, be careful about this:
‘My Song writing partner has an instance running in our other studio’
The Toontrack license is for one single user to use on 2 systems as long as both systems aren’t used at the same time. It’s a breach of the EULA for 2 different users (you and your song writing partner) to use the same license at the same time.

Hi Scott, No I don’t need the installation yet but I’m going to buy a mac pro sometime after they come out with Thunderbolt on the new systems. I realized that I may be authorizing in a way that I don’t need to though possibly. If the software is being authorized by the mac ID in the NIC then I suspect I may have not had to remove the original authorization to get the software to authorize. I’m still not clear on this, maybe you can shed some light.
Also, I inquired via email and this forum both if I could have my son who’s a music major away at college run the software on two different machines. My son and I both being musicians write together for a few different projects, he’s a really talented Lad. I was answered it’s fine as long as they aren’t being used at the same time in two different for profit studios which they are not.

We’re running more of not only your software but many other vendors this way as well, each and every one I have inquired personally to make sure it was ok toontrack included. My conscious is quite clear when it comes to your licensing, we’re doing nothing wrong or shady. We’re paying customers who don’t steal software like everyone else does, you know the customers that help companies actually make a profit, that would be us.

The bottom line is, there isn’t a 4 x authorizations then you are screwed situation. You can request further authorizations as you need them, and some past authos might be deleted to free up new ones. So you can’t have four or more running at one time, but if you lose one because of a replaced HD, you can request a new one.
