Hi guys
I’m new to Toontracks.. have installed the EZ Mix 2 and EZ Drummer 2 onto my iMac OS X Yosemite 10.10 and I’m using a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2.
How do I set both my inputs and outputs to be me Scarlett in EZ Mix 2 and EZ Drummer 2 in standalone mode?
I’ve set the output and inout in the sounds in system preference to my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2. I know the output is working for other things (for example when I play a youtube clip in safari, the sound is coming out of my yamaha monitors via my Scarlett 2i2. I can also see the lights on the input of my scarlett 2i2 glowing, and also the input meter in the sounds system preference panel is showing input.
Thanks for any help!
I notice that when i select the scarlett 2i2 in the output or input pages of the sounds preferences on my mac, it shows the message “the selected device has no input/output controls”… however the focusrite does not require any downloadable drivers as part of it’s install.
Cheers
an update, when I’m in EZ Mix and I go to settings -> audio setup, if i select the audio device it only shows “core audio” available as a device type, and the input is only “none”…
could it be an issue with the focusrite scarlett 2i2?
Hi,
the Scarlett is not officially supporting Yosemite, at least not yet. If you select another output for your system before launching EZdrummer 2, can you select the Scarlett then?
