Audio Import into EZBass is not working

I have the following 2 problems with the EZBass can someone help me please. a) when I launch EZBass as plugin inside Logic Pro x I get a msg at the bottom right hand corner of EZBass “Audio Engine inactive, check your audio device”. b) loaded as a plugin inside Logic Pro x I am unable to import audio files in the audio tracker tab.
