Hello John,
Thanks John, for the reply in the thread elsewhere on the forum.
My problem: I get intermittently midi signal recognition, while still recognizing my E-drums (Alesis Crimson II). Short after midi connection was lost, I saw a short notification in EzDrummer right corner on an Audio Engine that was unavailable, or something similar. However, most times that notification is not shown in EZdrummer 3 at the moment of disconnecting. MacBook Pro does recognize the E-drums, as seen in MacOS System Information (showing Alesis Crimson II). Typically, the connections last between 5 seconds and 15 minutes.
Details: EZdrummer 3, version 3.0.6, in combination with a MacOS Big Sur version 11.7.10 on a 2013 MacBook Pro. The problem exists for both Ezdrummer 3 standalone and as a plug-in host in Logic. The Logic Pro MIDI inputs list keeps showing Alesis Crimson II and EZdrummer 3.
Hardware MIDI connection: USB cable with USB-B from E-drum to USB-A to MacBook Pro. The MacBook Pro used USB3.0 and I tested both USB-ports. Also I tested connecting directly and through 2 different USB-hubs. Tested 3 different USB cables. Tested the Logic Pro button ‘reset all midi drivers’, all no improvement.
Some help would be appreciated, thanks.
BR,
Ruud
