Hello everyone, Mike Here.
Im having a broblem with my EZDrummer 2.0.
I havent used my DAW for a while. I use Reaper. Ive just opened it and EZDrummer wont work. It is telling me -Audio engine inactive. Check your audio device.
Im using an RME Fireface UC. It seems to be working normally to me. Im on Windows 11.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Mike
Hi Mike!
Not sure if this might help or not but I had the same issue last week. I made a drum MIDI in EZD2 using 2 different time signatures for the same song. When I would open it in CW, same exact thing would happen. Audio Engine Inactive. Could that be the issue perhaps? I wound up chopping up a .wav file of the song to make it work 😛 I’d love the answer too if this is not the actual issue going on.
Take care,
Jen
Hey there, I’m having the same issue and getting the same error message – audio engine inactive. I’m using Reaper v6.36, EZ Drummer 3 and a Roland TD-17.
I’ve tried playing around in Reaper and made sure the drivers are set to ASIO – TD 17. I’ve basically the followed the relevant steps from this YT video https://youtu.be/nPOYxyzc4zs?si=rGuSKNqzIjXbJgdw (noting it wasn’t specifically for the DAW version of the process). I checked I’ve got the latest TD-17 drivers installed.
When I tap the on-screen drums in Ez Drummer with my mouse I hear the sounds come through my headphones which are plugged into the module. I don’t hear sounds when I hit the physical TD-17 drums in front of me. Made sure the track is armed for record, not sure what other settings in Reaper I should be playing around.
Any ideas / potential solutions would be great.
