audio engine inactive

Things were working fine a few hours ago but I re-installed SONAR trying to figure out something else. Now EZDrummer loads in SONAR, presents UI, but always has a message:

“Audio engine inactive. Check your audio device.”

Other non-MIDI tracks are playing fine.

Side note: is there a way to search this forum? I found main Toontrack site search but that was all.
