Hi folks- I am getting the “audio engine inactive – check your audio device” box in the bottom right corner of EZdrummer 3 and can’t get any sound even after rebooting. Do we know how to solve this? Thank you!!!
Using Logic on Macbook Pro Monterey 12.5.1 with M1
I’m using Scarlett2i2 with an Oxygen Pro43 keyboard. It doesn’t play through the keyboard, when I click on drums, or when I try to play groove. It was playing just fine and then all of a sudden it just stopped!!!
Thank you!
Did you make sure your Scarlett and Pro43 are selected in Settings/AudioMidiSetup?

Thanked by: Bniles57Thanks for the input! No, I guess I don’t know how to do that even? Could you guide me through that/ Thanks!
Main Menu (in EZD3)>Settings>Audio-Midi-Setup. Just examine this screen, you will find the Audio and Midi areas to make your selections. (if you are using standalone)
I see that you are in Logic. I’m wondering if you are using EZD3 “inside” of Logic? As long as Logic is making noise and can see your keyboard, EZD3 should work fine. If you’re not using EZ “inside” of logic, simply load it up on Software Instrument track in Logic.
Explain your workflow better if this doesn’t help.

Hi – Thanks so much for your replies! So, I am trying to work inside of EZD3, linked to a Logic project. It started out fine and was playing grooves as I dragged them into the song builder, but then suddenly just stopped with this warning about Audio Engine. Fortunately I was just starting, so I started a new project and everything is working fine on that, but it still doesn’t work on that project. Weird!
