Start the installer of the software update 2.2.2 and make sure that the AU and standalone checkboxes are ticked on the Customize page.

I’ve done that. Several times now. I’ve even gotten rid of the Product Manager, redownloaded that, and tried with different versions of EZD2. None of them work and I continue to get the same message in red lettering. I Download, install, and then all the updates turn red, prompting me to download them again. All the while, the “Free Up Disk Space” section tells me every update I’ve down loaded is already on my computer and prompts me to clean up my disk space.

Now the standalone is there, after I did some digging in folders for things I haven’t tried/done yet, but the AU now is not installed. So I can utilize the standalone software, but I can’t load it as an AU in Logic Pro X.

Does Product Manager say that the AU is not installed?

Yes, it says “AU is not installed”

Download the software update 2.2.2 again and start it – if “Install” is not available then from its menu, use “Open in Finder” and double-click the installer. How does the Customize page look in that installer?

Tried that. AU still is not installed. I’ve attached what I get when I open the .dmg file. It says “updater” rather than “installer” but I assume you meant this.

If you check my 2 screen shots, I think this is what Olof meant.

Macos Monterey 12.0 m1 chip standard installation didn’t work at first ( aax + standalone not installed)

Thanks for the advice above. Customized installation worked!! AAX and standalone boxes were unchecked!

    Hi,

For EZbass, you need to launch the latest software updater (from Details > Downloads), currently version 1.1.8. In that installer, there should be a Customize button and an option to install the Audio Unit.

For EZdrummer 3, the full installer and the latest software updater are the same, so just start it and you should find a Customize button in it.

In my case, the solution was simple . . . The installer did not have Standalone and AU checked. I reinstalled checking all boxes under CUSTOMIZE (see attached image). I hope this helps other users. Sincerely, Tommy Zai

I’m running an M1 iMac and Sonoma 14.3 I needed to get the stand alone player so on the Toontrack Product Manager page, even though I had EZdrummer three already installed, I just reinstalled it and chose stand alone in customize install box and it’s there and worked fine. I didn’t have to reinstall then uninstall then reinstall like it says. Hope that makes sense.
