Assigning cymbals/pads in Solo OR Logic/Garageband

Just got ezdrummer yesterday and loaded it up/authorized easily (I got addictive drums a few months ago so I kinda knew the process). Overall sound quality seems awesome so far but my problem is I can’t seem to figure out how to route the 3rd cymbal or other toms to trigger correctly. For instance, the Craviotto kit I only get 2 toms to trigger and 2 cymbals in Solo and with the Noble Cooley kit I only get 3 toms and 2 cymbals to trigger (in Logic/Garageband 50% of the midi triggers are incorrect but that’s a whole other problem I guess).

Am I missing something easy here? Familiar w/ AD’s method but it doesn’t appear there is a way to do this with ezdrummer. I’ve found the midi key map but where do you actually change these settings? I’ve searched forums and read/re-read the manual but I’m lost!

Hi,

since EZdrummer isn’t aimed at E-drummers, you can’t change the MIDI mapping in EZdrummer. It only has got limited E-drum support when using it with Toontrack solo and the ‘E-drums’ MIDI controller option.
Superior 2 has got full E-drum support with the possibility to map, stack, velocity switch sounds, add FX in the Mixer, use the plugin in any of all supported hosts, design your kits for live use or studio, etc, etc.

FYI, I saw that Audiomidi.com has got a special right now on EZdrummer to Superior crossgrades. There are most certainly others as well.

I JUST ordered S2 last night! I can still cancel the order though if buying this is the same as the full blown S2. From what I read on their site, it is, I’d just like to make 100% sure it is if you don’t mind confirming.

I also ordered Metal Foundry and C&V so looking forward to all these new sounds (and mapping!).

It is. There are no Lite or crippled versions of Superior 2.
