Title is the question. Can’t really use it on the master bus if you want to multi out
When you multi out you have multiple output channels. You can put the punch exciter on them. The mix will sound different running them in parallel, however.
One can approximate the effect in their DAW by compressing and then distorting a narrow band of your audio.

There are many 3rd party plugins that will do the job. I would advise creating a group for snare, hi hats an symbols. As using distortion on the master bus will affect the whole mix. I used to use Quadrafuzz V2 which comes with Cubase to distort them. I now use UAD Empirical Labs Distressor as it does a better job. As Bear-Faced Cow above says using a compressor in front of it works best. Most DAW software come with some sort of distortion plugin. It is a matter of trial and error to get the sound you want.
