Apple silicone support? 100% CPU spike, clicks, pops and audio dropouts)

Does anyone know when superior drummer 3 will be Apple silicon native? Even on a 16 inch MacBook M1 Pro, it has 100% CPU peaks, clicks, pops, audio dropouts and overall poor performance. It turned on my fans and made my Intel Mac an over as well. How are people using this successfully? This happens with Ableton Live 11.1 running on OS 11.x, 12.1 and 12.4.

Hi Thomas,

Superior Drummer 3 has been Apple silicon native since version 3.2.5, but if you are experiencing performance issues we would like to investigate further into this. Are you running Ableton in “native” mode?

Which option do you have selected in the SD3 Settings > Performance > CPU Usage menu? Using 1 core is recommended at this time.

FWIW, it runs smooth as silk on my M1 MBP.

It also runs without any issues on both my 2013 Mac Pro and my EOL MacBook Pro.

It sounds more like you have a resource bandwith issue (RAM, Drives, Sample Rate Buffer, etc). You might want to list your specs in order to give us a better idea and help you.
