Hi
I can see that SD3 is a one-stop drum workstation, with all grid events/sounds/mixing can be done from within the plugin.
The problem for me is I usually don’t work left to right. I work in modulated parts, with everything else in my project triggered in a sampler via a controller.
The only plugin I can’t fit into this workflow is SD3.
I see the benefit of using SD3’s editor rather than the host’s midi items, but this best lends itself to a left-to-right workflow.
Has anyone found a way to be able to trigger SD3 midi clips or even switch the tracks within SD3?
May be a bit of an oddball here with the way I work…
Thanks
E
The non-linear approach you seem to referring to sounds like what one would do in either Ableton Live, Maschine or (for us Apple users) the latest version of Logic.
In my case, I drag the MIDI from SD3 into a cell and trigger the desired cells.

Thanks, that sounds like it’s it, however I’m using Reaper.
Do you know what specific plugin in Logic does this? Or is it a native cell grid?
I was also hoping SD3 had native ability to at least assign midi to its internal track tab selection.
