Can you elaborate on what you are doing? As well, are you in standalone or in a DAW?

This is when I’m using SD3 within Logic. Not doing anything unusual and it doesn’t affect all sessions. I usually discover the synch issue when triggering a drum on the interface with a mouse click. Then I’ll play back the track I’m working on and see the animation is ahead of the actual sound. There are workarounds and I can always fix things in the grid editor. i would though like to understand what’s happening and fix it if I can.

My usual two questions are far as Logic goes:

    1. Are you using any latency inducing plug-ins within your project? They are known to do this because delay compensation kicks in. They’re really not meant for tracking purposes.
    2. What is your delay compensation set for? If it is set to All, change it to Instruments & Aux when tracking. The All setting is best used for mixing.
