My direct in sounds totally clear and there seems to be no issue with my cables, interface, or computer. When I use the clean sounds in EZ Mix 2 on my guitar there are no issues. However whenever I use a high gain amplifier setting on my guitar I get a breaking up sort of sound in my signal, almost like a noise gate trying to stop feedback or something. It sounds like there is a short in the cable (but there isn’t.)
Does anyone recognize this issue? Is this a normal thing with amp sims? Am I supposed to add on some other plugin to get rid of that?
Hi,
I think all the amped and “dirty” presets have a Noise Gate in the path. If the GATE unit is lit on the right in the interface, you know there is. If you feel like the threshold isn’t working for you, you can always play with the volume from your guitar and/or the Input Volume knob in the lower left of the interface.
I hope this helps,
John
