what do you mean ‘does not work’? as in technical issue or as you seem to imply the flexibility they do not provide (in your eyes)?

… we are currently investigating an issue with some Cabinet presets on specific machines, but without you stating what system you operate under (please fill in your system details in your profile for ease of obtaining support in the future), or more details about what your post aimed at bringing to our attention, I can’t tell whether this concern applies to you.

It sounds to me like he’s running his already amped and recorded guitar signal through the presets in EZmix that have amp modeling. Probably not the best method. The amped presets work best with a DI guitar signal. Depending on the processing required (reverb, delay, eq, etc) there are other presets probably more appropriate.

I don’t understand the problem you’re having at all either.

Do you want cabinet modeling without the amp part or something like that?

You’re going to have to explain a little better what it is you’re looking to do.

yes, it seems to be the complain/request on a second read. Amplifier types are obviously going to be less than ideal on an already amped signal (though not necessarily useless).

Selecting Filters for Guitars, and excluding the Amplifier type would be a more appropriate shortlist of presets to try in the first instance. Not that the ‘Guitar’ filter is required mind you, as there are plenty of useful presets to apply to guitars that were not necessarily designed (specifically) with a guitar signal in mind.

Yes, my bad. The presets work but what I meant is that they are not useful to me because I record an amped signal. Would be good if I could still use them though (i.e. duplicate presets minus amp and cab modules).

A selection in the effects column like “no amp or cab” processing could save some unpleasant outbursts by ensuring I don’t place a preset with amp and cab sim over an already amped signal. Not the end of the world but a loud and unpleasant sound nonetheless.
