Hi Guys,
In general speaking I like the Plate Reverb plugin in Superior Drummer 3 but I would like to use third party plugin in my DAW that react similar to Plate Reverb in Superior Drummer 3.
Which do you guys suggest pls? I’m thinking for snares and toms.
Thanks
There are a lot of plate reverbs and reverbs that can do plates and other types of reverb. I have 2 favorites. The first one is UVI Plate and the second is Abbey Road Plates from Waves. UVI Plate is really customizable – you can pick the plate material, size, orientation of the senders and receivers. The Abbey Road Plates models 4 plates at that famous studio. One of the plates has tube electronics. Neither plugin is super expensive.
If you don’t mind spending some bigger bucks I suggest taking a look at Liquidsonics’s wares.

Thanks for your soon answer 🙂 I’m checking UVI Plate, Waves Abbey Road Plates and Arturia Rev Plate 140.

The Arturia Rev Plate is okay but not up there with the ones I mentioned. I have it. Something to watch out for if you go with the Arturia plugin you may want to look at the cost of the individual plugin versus going with their grouping of plugins. Some of their plugins are quite decent. Individual plugins from Arturia can run a good bit more in cost against getting a bundle.

Two of my faves are UAD EMT 140 (if you have a UAD DSP of some sort), or Soundtoys Little Plate.
