Is there an alternative way to find grooves than tap 2 find?
Latency issues on my laptop mean i can NEVER get tap 2 find to actually hit the right notes. This is really frustrating and makes me want to give up on ezd2 as i spend too much time fighting with the tap 2 find results, instead of actually writing songs 😛
Addictive drums2 has an easier to use simple grid where you can input hihat, snare and bassdrum to find grooves. Can we get an alternative interface to find grooves like that? Im sure it wouldnt be hard to program?
Thanks
Craig
Hi, Im using Reaper as my DAW, but its not the latency issue im looking to tackle.
Im suggesting an improvement to the input interface for searching for grooves. Tap2find is nice in theory, but in the practical world is clunky (imo), and a simple grid input would help in finding those grooves faster, which would improve the whole experience of using EZD2.
I can of course program a separate midi groove and import that and search for a groove off that, as a fall back, but im sure it would be easier & an improvement to ezd2 to have this simple functionality added in to the program?
(apologies if ive posted this in the wrong place, i couldn’t find a “suggestions” box/area).

I would have to agree, I also find the Tap2Find feature rather hard to work with.
Please do consider adding a simple grid, as that would be more accurate and easier to use.
