Ever since updating to SD3 to 3.2.7, one of the hits for a snare is missing. I’m not sure which one it is, but only every other hit makes a sound. If “Use Alternate Hits” is off, all hits sound. My project specifically has the Tama Bell Brass from Metal Machinery SDX and the John Tempestra Signature from the Metal Machine EZX loaded as a stack. The Tama Bell Brass works fine but the Tempestra is the one with the issue. If I switch out the Tempestra with anything else from the Metal Machine EZX by right clicking and choosing another snare from the already loaded library it still has the issue. But if I choose “Search for instrument” and load another snare from Metal Machine EZX, it starts to work like normal. I can even switch back to the original snare and it works again. If I save and close out and re-open, the issue comes back.
Hi Ryan,
We’re sorry for the inconvenience. I suspect you updated from 3.2.4? From what I’ve found, this is a bug related to stacking drums with “alternate” articulations, where only one of the alternating articulations was used in the stack, and was introduced in 3.2.5. We’ll include a fix for this in an update in the near future. Until then, I suggest working around it by disabling “Alternate hits” on the stacked drum (as you’ve already found).
Thank you, and again, apologies for the inconvenience.
