I have the Alesis surge electronic drum kit and I connect it via USB to my Laptop to use the EZDRUMMER 2 software and it works fine but when I use the cymbal and choke it, the sound get stuck in choked cymbal. How can I solve this?

It should be fixed already – if you use the Alesis e-drum preset in EZD 2.2.0 or later.

I’m not exactly sure if this is the same problem but my Hi-hat always stays open when using the Alesis drum kit setting. I also use the Alesis Surge. Any fix to this?
Edit. If I set it to None, everything works fine BUT hitting the side of the Toms makes a crash symbol sound. So I can either play with no Hi hat or no Side Toms.
If you use an Alesis Surge, set the Setting to ‘Generic’ NOT ‘Alesis’

I can fix all your mapping issues and also the AIesis-Medeli cymbal choke bug (if you want to go without e-drum presets – what I highly recommend in order to maintain the ability to reach all EZX kit piece articulations and to have the reliable mapping that is shown in the kit piece slots)
Looking at adding an Alesis Strike Pro SE to the studio and am wondering if this issue applies to it as well. Not sure if the Strike uses the Surge cymbals or not. Regardless, if this issue has been resolved, it’s a moot point. Does the same thing apply from above that I should use the “generic” setting instead of the “Alesis” one? Thanks in advance!
Is there a fix for this yet? I am thinking of returning my kit and going back to v drums. These problems are stupid. Kit doesn’t even feature a bell on the ride, and the cymbals choke themselves when I don’t even ask them to. I want to play the drums, not be a technician
