Hello!
I bought EZdrummer 2 today and plan on using it together with my Alesis Strike Pro SE. Some things didn’t work fine but I fixed those with midi mapping. But there is still one thing which is still a mystery. And that is whenever I close my hi-hat with the pedal, it triggers a crash on top of the normal closed hi-hat splash sound. I have nothing layered in the module and can’t find anything in EZdrummer to fix this.
I can’t disable the crash it triggers, since it will then trigger a different crash until all the crashes are disabled. Which isn’t practical. Can someone explain me what is happening and how I could possibly fix this? Turning off the sound of that crash doesn’t help because of the OH “bleed”.
All help is appreciated.

My experience ist that Alesis Strike modules send some weird MIDI stuff. I remember a guy who had issues with a not changable choke note number (which was also a note for another articulation). I can look into your issue. (You can also check out my special forum group on FB and contact me there): https://www.facebook.com/groups/579177292995927
I have the exact same issue. Have you ever solved it? Ive been trying to figure out whats causing it for quite a while.
Thanks, Jim
Hi. I found by going into the Trigger section in the Utility page and changing the HIHAT SPLASH to NOT SENT resolved the crash cymbal issue while triggering the hihat pedal.

Thanked by: JohnSorry, couldn’t get to your message in time. But yes, that is exactly what solved it for me! Guess I should’ve updated the post earlier. Whoops..
I have the same problem but i can’t seem to find the utility menu or a trigger section in ezdrummer 2 anywhere
There is no utility or trigger section in ezdrummer. The only solution for me was extracting the samples from ezdrummer and put them straight into the kit module
