I am new to this app. I am trying to connect my Alesis Drum module to EZ Drummer either in standalone mode or thru my Luna DAW. I connected the module via USB to my Mac but EZ Drummer does not recognize my module. It just doesn’t show up. I read that I might need a driver for the Alesis also installed on the Mac. Anyone have any idea if this is true and if so where I can get that driver??
if you press record in Luna and hit a few notes on your drums, does it record anything to a MIDI track (they don’t have to correspond to anything to EZ Drummer – I’m just checking for the presence of MIDI notes)?
if so, then your drums are working. You they just need to map them.
Try it and let us know

Looks like you’ll have to wait: https://support.alesis.com/en/support/solutions/articles/69000859825-alesis-macos-15-sequoia-compatibility
It’s just saying that their software is unsupported and they are testing it. Standard notice. Besides I just checked on their site and their devices are class compliant. IOW, the drums should just show up when you plug it into the computer.

thank you both for responding. Here is where I am at. I have the Alesis module connected via USB directly to my Mac Studio, and yes, the latest OS. Having said that, when I start up EZD3 either with Luna or as standalone I do not see the Alesis recognized as a midi input. The learn function does nothing/ That is why I was asking about a possible driver having to be installed on the Mac. I have the Alesis set to OMNI and midi thru is enabled so not sure what else I need to do to get EZD to see it.
as I mentioned earlier, the true test is to see if Luna will record a basic MIDI track from your drum kit.
it’s possible that your USB cable might be in question.
