alesis nitro wont trigger

i have had ez drummer for a while and for the alesis nitro its not even worth its considering it costs 200 dollars for the program, the only way i can get this drumset to work is if i dont update ez drummer and even then it only works for 2 minutes. I checked the drums, changed usbs, selected my drums in settings and it doesnt work. there has been multiple people who have had this problem dating back to 2016 and no fix has been done.

Have you tried  Going through a soundcard EX: Rolan Quad Or Presonus AudioBox  

If not I suggest you give it a try I use both and it works great.

Unfortunately these issues can be complex. Are you running EZDrummer through a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation or as standalone when using the Nitro kit as a ‘MIDI In’ setup? I’ve owned my Alesis Nitro Mesh kit for over a year now and I’ve been able to use the E-kit with EZD2 standalone or as a VST within Ableton Live Lite 11.  I’m new to everything electronic drums and DAWs but after some lengthy time spent, was able to have a decent command of getting connected with good output. If you’re looking for some actual help, get specific on what your current setup is and I’ll try to offer some guidance.
