Hi Toontrack,
Just did fresh install on a new computer and came across an issue when trying to use my Akai MPK mini MIDI controller with Toontrack Solo (1.3.2).
When I try to use the MPK mini with Toontrack Solo it’s not working. It’s showing up in the Toontrack Solo ‘MIDI Devices…’ list and it seems I’m able to select it from that list but when I press the keys on the MPK controller… Nothin’!
I’m able to use my other controllers: M-Audio Axiom 25 & 49 (2nd Generation). And I am able to use the MPK mini in Logic X & Pro Tools 11 to control both EZdrummer (1.3.3) and Superior Drummer (2.3.2).
MacBook Pro 15-inch with Retina display (Late 2013), 2.3 GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7, 16GB SDRAM, 512GB SSD, Mavericks (10.9)
Anyone else with my set up experiencing this?
Thanks!
Hi,
can’t add anything from personal experience with the hardware in question but the fact that you can use the other controllers does seem to point at something with the MPK and/or it’s drivers.

John

Hi John,
Yeah, there are no drivers for the MPK mini as it’s Class Compliant.
As I said, the MPK mini works with all my other Stand Alone VI’s, works with all my VI’s in Logic X & Pro Tools 11. And as I also said, the MPK mini works with EZdrummer & Superior Drummer in Logic and Pro Tools as well. So I’m quite perplexed!
Any other ideas?
Many thanks!
