aftertouch does not appear to work

Aftertouch to control release on Cymbals does not appear to work.

 

Anyone get it to work or have tips?

 

PS In the end, it appears automation of macros is the way to go.

Are you muting cymbals? It works from my ekit grabbing the cymbal mutes it. I’m not in a position to look but I think it is polyphonic after touch and not global.

SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors

I’m not muting, changing the release time.

I’m not using it to grab not all kit pieces have that “grab” capability.

It’s not polyphonic, it’s aftertouch.
