Advanced Settings – Advanced – Hit Variation

Hi All,

Does anyone know what the effect is of changing the “Hit Variation” setting in the advanced settings menu in EZD 3?

Standard it’s set to EZX Optimized (Default) is this for EZX’s ? Other options are “High” and “Low”

There is no mention of this setting in the Operations Manual.

I only what low variation can do for a kit with two kick drums. It stops alternate drums being triggered in the same row of the piano roll; but it makes fast snare rolls sound like a machine gun. Leave it set to default.

Hi,

Mick is right about the Low setting stopping Alternating hits and it also stops neighbouring velocity hits from being used to further improve the variation of hits. There is a Default for each EZX and the High setting just uses the scheme with more samples. You *shouldn’t* notice much difference from the Default though.
