Hi,
I have the following setup:
Roland TD11 Usb to the MacMini to play live over Superior Drummer 3. Sound out over USB to a Tascam US 20×20 audio interface and from there, to the FOH mixer. An additional Alesis D4 drum modul for extra pads goes over Midi into the Tascam interface. So I have both drum modules as input in SD3. Works perfect.
The Tascam interface has also a Midi out. Know I want additionally the Midi signal over the Midi out sent to another PC (for input in a DMX light control software and enable there for example bass drum controlled light flashes).
But if I connect the Midi interface at the second PC by Midi cable to the Tascams Midi out, there is no signal. (If i connect the midi out from the D4 Drum module, there is a Midi input signal on the Midi interface. So the Midi interface works).
What have I to do, to get all Midi signals additionilly on the Midi out of the SD3 computer/Audio interface?
Have you enabled midi out in SD3?
SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors
No. I did not know that I have to enable it 🙂 I will test it when I have access to the drumset (it is in the Bands storageroom. Normally, I have it only on live gigs available:-) )
Yes it’s on the first page of settings (think it’s called settings but I’m not at my pc) and is not enabled by default

Hi,
you can quickly access the MIDI Out settings by clicking ‘MIDI’ in the lower right corner of the SD3 interface. However, MIDI Out can only be enabled when SD3 is used as a plug-in in a host of some sorts, it is not available in the Standalone.
I do not think that it would solve anything in this case, since you rather need a MIDI split from the TD-11, right? Doesn’t the TD-11 send MIDI both over USB and the DIN-connector at the back?

John
