Adding new splash or tom in SD3

Hello there, I migrated from EZ to SD3 few months back, I am very happy with the quality of my projects. I have few questions t hat I need help with,Please help

1. I am finding difficulty in customizing the standard kits available , Adding a tom or crash – How to add , Is there any support links, I figured out a way but not sure if its the right one
2. when I add a splash or tom , I see the overall quality of the out for the new one is not great and overall gain is low, How should I increase this
3. How to add a channel in mixer to edit the the newly added tom or splash in the kit3
4. Is there any premix available templates that I could use in mixer for a kit
