Added sample to track stack, not working

Hi all,

I’m having trouble with some snares samples (specifically some ‘That Sound’ samples) I’m importing to create track stacks. They aren’t sounding the same as when I preview them. Almost as though they’re playing back at the wrong sample rate? like 44 instead of 48? is there something I’m not aware of within SD3?

Hi,

it can be one or two of many reasons, so easiest would be to have a look at your Project file but some stuff to check:

 

• Did you set up a new microphone in the mixer for your imported sample or not?
• Did you replace another stack articulation and was that stack articulation pitched (shouldn’t matter with external samples IIRC)?
• Is the pitch altered for the entire stack?
• Is the mixer path “clean” or do you have something colouring the sound downstream to make it sound different?
