Hi, I have EZDrummer 3, an eDRUMin 10, and an Alesis Sample Pad Pro.
How can I add more pad representations to trigger additional sounds I want to play on the SamplePad? (octoban cowbell etc)
I was expecting there to be an easy way to do this, even if it was just a circle to represent the pad/pads that I could set the midi on and assign a sound???
Attached is how I am set up so you can see what I want to trigger…
EZD can’t add an instrument. You could change the mapping from, say Snare Rim Only to a pad, if you know how to do that. Do you need help with that.
I “think” I’ve got that down, can I run 2 instances of EZD in Ableton and just have the sample pad in one and the eDRUMin in another? Or will it mix up midi notes?
Thanks
Yes, run two instances in a DAW.

Thanked by: Scott EshlemanHi,
if I understand you correctly, I would say that you should probably look into upgrading to Superior Drummer 3, where you can expand library kits with additional instruments/pads and have much more control over individual articulations and custom setups.

Thanked by: Brad and Scott EshlemanSuperior Drummer expansion Real to Reel has octobans in one of its rooms, as well as five toms and two snares.
Yeah I went fill SD3 for my edrum setup for live playing.
I recently have been playing with the bandmate feature in EZD, but really find that the lack of being able to add an instrument like you can in SD3 to be severely limiting.
If I just want to add one extra crash or bell, I hit a brick wall.
I wish they would let you add a couple of instruments, maybe not a ton like you can in SD3 but just a couple!
So frustrating!!!
(or add bandmate to SD3.)
