The Action drums always seem drenched in reverb, even if I mute the reverb and delay channels in the mixer. Is there any way to get a dry drum hit? I’m finding that I have to gate some of the samples to control the ringing.
Some of the sounds are recorded with a big room as a part of their sound, such as the Orchestral snare and toms. Do you have any other particular instruments in mind?

Some of the bass drums are the worst – they sound big when soloed, but they have so much reverb that they make the mix sound muddy and there doesn’t seem to be any way of reducing the reverb. They seem to have the reverb recorded into the samples because it makes very little difference if you mute the reverb channels on the mixer page. It would have made more sense to close mic the drums and add room mics on a separate channel to add the ambience.
Well, a part of EZXs is that they are somewhat pre-mixed, but I can understand what you want to achieve. This can be controlled with a gate in a DAW, or using the Envelope control in Superior Drummer 3.
