Ableton Live + e-drums: closed hi-hat/cymbal choke not registering

Hi all, sorry if this has been asked before, I couldn’t find a way to search the forums (am I blind?)

I’m using EZDrummer 3 with an A2E conversion kit running through an eDRUMin 12 to a Mac Mini M1. When I run EZDrummer in standalone mode, everything triggers perfectly. However, when running it as a plugin in Ableton Live, the hi hat plays open even when I have the pedal closed, and cymbal chokes don’t register. Most of the reason I bought EZDrummer was to be able to record my drum tracks in to Ableton, so I’m really hoping there’s a fix or an option I’m missing or something. Any help is greatly appreciated. Have you looked at the mapping? Settings – > E-Drums MIDI in – > Mapping. Is it the same in Live as in standalone?

I did compare the MIDI settings from the standalone and VST/AU versions and they are indeed the same, unfortunately. Thanks for the reply though

For anybody stumbling across this thread, I got both problems fixed. For the hi-hats always being open problem, all I had to do was uncheck MPE on my interface (an eDRUMin) in the general MIDI settings in Ableton. For the cymbal choke, I adjusted the MIDI note length for my cymbals in the eDRUMin software (most other modules have this setting, to my knowledge) to its max (8 seconds in my case). Didn’t have to touch anything in Ableton.
