Hello all.
So… I got myself an EZbass a couple of days ago and was going through different sounds and presets. Today decided to “write” some bass lines and see how it all goes. 1st of all, I am a drummer, so not much knowledge about guitars in general. Just basics, enough to play what I need.
And here is my confusion.
My guitar is tuned one semitone down or a half step if you will (Eb) so obviously I changed the tuning in EZbass to match that. Now, when I add E in Grid Editor the chord displayed in Bass Tab shows as F.
Is it because it would be an F position of a bar chord on a fret board? Is it how it works?
I’m confused cause if I see an F chord I expect to hear an F not an E regardless of the tuning. I was expecting to hear E but just in different position.
Does it mean that if I want to see the actual chords that would match, lets say, my Strings VST I have to set it all up to standard tuning?
Does Song Key menu at the bottom messes up with the chords as well?
Thanks
