Bump and disappointment in Toontack customer service.

2 weeks is more than enough for customer rep to step in to answer fairly simple question.  Perhaps they were busy with new release…. So hoping to get a feedback on my question now.

    Hi!

    Thanks for your question!

I’m not exactly sure what you mean by “EZkeys V1 and V2 do not recognize these properly”. Are you asking for a way to automatically batch cut the clips so that the first note of each clip is placed at the beginning of bar 1?

What 3rd party MIDI libraries are you using?

We apologize for the delay in responding to your post. If you’re looking to get in touch with our support team as quickly as possible, I would highly recommend using our contact support form. The “contact support” button can be found at the bottom of each FAQ answer.

    Sincerely,

    Hi Andreas.

I though I was clear… In any case here is a short video of the issue:

    Hi,

I suspect Andreas is going to want more than that to go on, for starters exactly which 3rd party MIDI libraries are you talking about? Without access to the particular MIDI, it will be hard to analyse what is happening.
If I understand you correctly, when you import your 3rd party MIDI to your DAW, it is placed at random times on your timeline, not Bar 1. That indicates that there is a time stamp in the MIDI which generally would make no sense for EZkeys 2 to ignore.

    Andreas,

Thank you for reply.  I have met a few people that use your EZkeys that had the same issue. They would just give up.  I sincerely hope this will get fixed.  That was one of my bigger hopes for V2…

I specifically don’t want to mention Loop libraries, not to put them in “bad light”, because actual loops are great. Lets just say that out of 7 different packs that I bought from Bigfish, 3 had these issues. One developer sent me a “fixed” version where he moved all to bar#1, but it would be ridiculous to expect that every maker will do same.

Unfortunately, I could not find any batch converter to move and re-save midi clips in bulk to start at Bar#1, so my only hope at this time, that Andreas and whoever will look at this will fix it, otherwise it is a pain to manually resave, especially bigger packs.

    Thank you.

Sidenote. On this forum, 2 questions are asked with every post of:  EZkeys version and Operating system. A good idea would be to “remember” choices from initial post and not to ask again… at least in the same thread.

    John,

Many loop packs I came across do not start at Bar1, but the clip is properly sliced. (has proper Start and End points) So there should be a simple mechanism in EZkeys to correct this, as this is fairly common. A global setting/option to “ignore time stamp” would work.

“which generally would make no sense for EZkeys 2 to ignore.”

Not true. Make whole lots of sense to me and a few other people I met who encountered same issue and don’t have time of tinkering and re-saving hundreds of files.
