2 different sounds on snare in the same song?

Hi!
I bought EZdrummer 2 yesterday. I am new to EZdrummer but I´ve been using EZkeys for a while and I find this cool. So….
My problem is the following: especially in ballads it may happen that you want a rimshot sound on snare in the verses and a full blown snare sound in the choruses. Is there a way to change snare sounds pattern depended in EZdrummer or can I do this only “globally”, meaning per song?
I could ship around this by using two drum tracks in the DAW, one with a rimshot snare and one with a standard snare but this sounds kinda weard.

Hi

You could use the ‘Power Hand’ feature to assign a second snare (such as a rimshot) to an unused drum or cymbal. I haven’t tried this myself yet, but take a look at the Toontrack video entitled ‘Talk To Your Drummer’, which can be found at…

Open “Edit Play Style” and rightclick on the snare, in the articulation submenu you can change to rimshot (and other available articulations). This will be applied to the selected midiblocks!
