I am having the same issues, just since the 3.03 update…. I am using Cubase 10.5.

It’s mostly a pain when I stop playing the track, make a small change/edit to something in Cubase and hit play again and the drums either don’t start or are very delayed in starting (1-2 bars).  The next time I hit play, EZD works again.

I have the exact same problem. Sometimes Ezdrummer 3 plays fine, but when I play the same measures again, suddenly there are no drums or the drums come after approx. one or two measures. The problem came after version 3.0.3. Core Library 1.0.1. Tried a reinstall with no luck. Windows 10 Cubase 12

Similar crashing happening in EZD3 v3.03 as well. In Presonus Studio One + Win10 (21H2)

I can confirm the two bugs, they were introduced in 3.0.3 and affect Steinberg hosts only. See https://www.toontrack.com/forums/topic/ez-drummer-3-03-update-issues/#post-2959272 for more info on the first one. The second one is related and a workaround is to always set the playhead position in EZD3 by moving the Cubase playhead (with Follow Host on) – you can then start playback in EZD3.

In this dump file I can only see that it was a memory corruption crash, I can’t see the real reason for it. What did you do when it happened? Can you reproduce it?

I can reproduce it easily. Mainly just open EZD3 in a project and within a minute or two, it gives me a pop-up saying it has crashed/stopped working. Attached are 2 report files from attempts I just did.

Could I go back to the previous version of EZD3 possibly for a temporary workaround? (it sounds soooooooo good when it’s working well!)

    Thanks,

    Andrew~

Just an empty EZD3 with the default settings? Do you have a custom default project set in EZD3? If so it may help if you could attach a project here (e.g. a Studio One song which crashes when you wait more).

What sample rate and buffer size do you use?

Yes, you can. Click “Show Details” for EZD3 in Product Manager. In “Installation Info” there is a link to Add/Remove Programs where you uninstall 3.0.3. Then you can install 3.0.2 (from the Downloads tab in Details).
