Hi everyone,
I had the EZDrummer 2 trial on my 12″ Macbook (8 GB RAM, 1.2 GhZ processor) about 6 months ago. I had a good time using it with about ~2-4ms lag which is perfectly acceptable.
Yesterday, I purchased the full version of EZDrummer 2, installed the update and hooked it up to my Roland TD25. I’m not hitting nearly 21ms latency with it attached which isn’t really playable. I’m using the built-in Mac Core Audio as the Device Type in settings.
Has anyone experienced anything like this? Is this potentially a Mac OS issue after an update?
Thanks!

Are you running it standalone, or in a DAW (Logic, Cubase, or similar)?
What buffer size are you using? Usually, this is what sets the latence; a smaller buffer size will decrease the latency, but increase the workload of the CPU. So usually one should pick a buffer size as low as possible, without getting any audio glitches. I have my buffer size in standalone set at 64, which gives me a latency of 1.5 ms. But when I run a DAW, it must sometimes have a bit larger buffer size, 128, to avoid glitches, since all the plugins requires some CPU.
However, when I use a daw for mixing, and not recording anything, I set the buffer size to 1024 or higher, since the input latency won’t matter in that case, and I can use many plugins simultaneously without problems…
