EZDrummer 2 and Yamaha DTX700 Issue

Hi. I selected “Yamaha” as my edrums as instructed. Everything works correctly except the Hi Hat. This responds with a hi hat and floor tom sound simultaneously. I’m using Mixcraft 8 Pro Studio as my DAW. Has anyone else experienced something like this and found a fix? Thank you.

Crazy Hi Hat!

Just purchased EZDrummer 2 and have a novice question:  I’m using my Yamaha DTX700 to trigger EZDrummer. I have this set in E-Drums>MIDI Mapping. When I strike the Hi-Hat, I hear both the Hi-Hat and the Floor Tom simultaneously. Can you tell me what I’m doing wrong? My DAW is Mixcraft 8 Pro Studio. Thank you

EZDrummer2 Yamaha 9000 Kit as EZX/SDX?

Hi,

A couple of months ago I sold my EZD2 license because I bought SD3 instead. However, from time to time I miss the Yamaha 9000 Kit of EZD2’s modern library. So punchy and snappy, really great for rock and metal!

Is there an EZX or SDX that includes the Kit?

Help with HiHat setup? Can't get a good, clean "open" sound – Yamaha DTX

Hello! I have a Yamaha DTX Multi-12 setup (module + HH + BD + CRASH) and for years I enjoyed playing just the stock sounds in the DTX. Not anywhere near the quality of SD3, obviously. Everything set-up easily, and played perfectly. Never had any issues, etc, with the internal sounds/triggers, etc, with the exception of a couple of velocity crossfades.

So I bought SD3, and easily used the stock Yamaha preset to get the basic midi mapping, and changed a couple (CRASH was coming in as BD, etc). The only issue I’ve had…and keep having…is the HiHat setup.

The OPEN high hat sounds jumbled, with the samples all tripping over each other.

I’ve calibrated, re-calibrated, changed my HIHAT hight, opening, etc, and tried everything else I can think of, but cannot (for the life of me) get a clean open sound.

It SEEMS like the “pedal close” keeps registering whenever I hit the HH with my foot off the pedal. In the “drum set view” in SD3 when I have my foot off the HH pedal, and I hit the HH I can see the little pedal going down, too. I also seem to be getting those “ghost” notes in the CC/Mapping window. Every time I hit the open HH I seem to get the CC control signal, too.

Any ideas on how to remedy this? Any help would be much appreciated!!
