SD3?LPX . best way to use together?

I bought and installed SD3 yesterday.  Sitting here now with my LPX and SD3 open, wondering how to use them together.  Can’t find any workflow suggestions in You Tube on how best to work. within Logic.  Was hoping I could run my instrument tracks in Logic , then syncing them to SD3 via follow host and then do all the drums Editing/Mixing/recording in SD3.  Till now I’ve been making Multis of all my drumtracks (usually NI Studio Dr.) in LPX via AUX tracks.  Was thinking I could play the individual drum parts into the SD3 Grid editor (or maybe there is another recording method?) via my midi controller and then move/quantize them into position. and tempo as needed. Is there anyone out there who would kindly share their workflow method when using SD3/LPX together in this way or for that matter. anyway that would optimise my workflow and let me use the great mixer and grid functions in SD3?  When I try to record via keyboard into the grid editor…the record button is greyed out.  Could someone explain to me in easy terms (for dummies) how to find a way to record in the SD3 whether by dropping grooves in or playing the various sounds in by hand with my keyboard.  If they show up n my grid editor and mixer for editing I can just make a stereo instance in Logic and do everything else in SD3.  Or are m thought processes wrong.  Have also looked to see the various You tube and Groove 3 tutorials but haven’t found anything which addresses the best way to run SD3 with the LPX DAW.  Sure appreciate any help to get up and running.

Thanks!  Jim
