Midi keyboard not working w SD3 yet, halp!

I played around with the MIDI preferences but havent figured out  how to configure SD3 or my MIDI keybaord controller to be able to tap sounds or beats on SD3. My keyboard is a Native Komplete MK2 and of course works just fine in my DAW, Ableton.
