I recorded an EDrum into Logic using SD3, how do get the midi back into SD3?

Here is where I am stuck-

I am using SD3 as a virtual instrument, and I am recording my performance on a Yamaha DTX  into Logic Pro X.

I can play back the track in Logic and it sounds great. But how do I get the midi back into SD3 so I can use the AWESOME GRID EDITOR?

I am trying to select the midi in the track in Logic and Save as or export as midi file.

The resulting midi file I try to drag into SD3, but it’s empty. There’s nothing there (but it is the correct length.)

If I drag the same file into Logic, it works fine.

I am sure I am doing something wrong, but there are so very few options (import tempo and use default edrum config are my only options.)

How do I move midi from Logic INTO SD3?

EZDrummer 2 – MIDI mapping with Jamstik MIDI guitar

A friend of mine has EZ Drummer 2 on Logic Pro X and I have a Jamstik MIDI guitar controller. When using the Jamstik as a controller for EZ Drummer 2, we want to reassign the input notes that EZ Drummer 2 sees when we play certain strings or frets. For example, when we play the open low “E” string on the Jamstik, we’d like that to be the kick, the first fret on the low E, the Snare, second fret, closed HiHat, etc. etc.

I believe from reading other posts about this on the forum that it is impossible to change the midi mapping for EZ Drummer 2 itself; but what about a mapped instrument ?

When we tried to create a new mapped instrument with the input routed to EZ Drummer 2, even when we change the output note in the mapped  instrument window, EZ Drummer still plays the default note or drum hit.

For example, we tried to change the Snare side stick to the normal snare hit by changing C# input note to a D output note. This did not work. Is this possible with multiple instances of mapped instruments or 3rd party plugins?

Thanks!
