Millenium MPS-850 pre buy ezdrummer2

I´ve read and seen many videos about ezdrummer 2 and millenium e-drum.

In several videos i can se when people go to

settings/e-drums/ under midi mapping there millenium avaliable, but in the 10 day PC demo i only have roland, yamaha,… but no millenium.

I dont want to buy the software if the brand is not supported.

If i use “other” there´s no connection but in the setting and MIDI device the e.drum is active.

EZDrummer 2 – MIDI mapping with Jamstik MIDI guitar

A friend of mine has EZ Drummer 2 on Logic Pro X and I have a Jamstik MIDI guitar controller. When using the Jamstik as a controller for EZ Drummer 2, we want to reassign the input notes that EZ Drummer 2 sees when we play certain strings or frets. For example, when we play the open low “E” string on the Jamstik, we’d like that to be the kick, the first fret on the low E, the Snare, second fret, closed HiHat, etc. etc.

I believe from reading other posts about this on the forum that it is impossible to change the midi mapping for EZ Drummer 2 itself; but what about a mapped instrument ?

When we tried to create a new mapped instrument with the input routed to EZ Drummer 2, even when we change the output note in the mapped  instrument window, EZ Drummer still plays the default note or drum hit.

For example, we tried to change the Snare side stick to the normal snare hit by changing C# input note to a D output note. This did not work. Is this possible with multiple instances of mapped instruments or 3rd party plugins?

Thanks!

Problems with EZDrummer 2 Demo

Hi,

I’ve downloaded the demo version of EZD2 to evaluate whether I want to upgrade from EZD1.

I’m having a number of issues.

I’ve downloaded and installed EZD2 on my old desktop and a newer laptop. Both run EZD1 without any problems.

The older desktop is a late 2013 model. Both machines OSX version is upto date (10.?)

Problems –

I’m really hoping someone can help me here because the search and song creator are the 2 main reasons I am looking to upgrade. If I can’t determine whether they are worth upgrading for I’ll be staying with EZD1, or potentially looking elsewhere.

Thanks.

Tap 2 Find Enhancements

<p dir=”auto”>I love the Drum Search function that allows you to search the midi database online. I think this is more of a request than a question, but I was wondering if there is or could be a way to request a groove. For example, I have a song that I’m working on now and I tapped in a groove that I’m looking for but the closest matches are at 64% and don’t really fit what I’m going for. I’m hoping for a function that can send that snippet to you and you can add a groove like that to a new expansion pack or midi library. If not, be able to take what you typed and drag that to the timeline you’re working in.</p>

Cymbal choke with Akai MPK Mini 2

Hey all, I’m running into a small issue with choking cymbals.  Currently using the Hard Rock EZD, and Bob Rock 3 preset.  This has four crashes.  When I use the “mute hit” articulation (controller is the Akai MPK Mini 2), only one of them has an acceptable duration of choking after striking the cymbal.  This is the second crash from left… articulations are mapped to MIDI notes 49 and 50.  The 50 is acceptable to me.  The cymbal on the far right uses MIDI note 57 for the crash, and 58 for the “mute hit”.  But the cymbal is actually choked after a significant delay; it’s far different than MIDI note 50.

The Akai MPK Mini II has a thumbstick on the side that, by default, is set to MIDI CC1.  This controls the hi-hat pedal so I can open and close it as needed.  Can I change this to “grab” the cymbal of my choice in order to determine when the choke happens?

God I hope all that makes sense.

Thank you.
