Given that users can create custom drum kits and drum grooves and can save them as projects, it would be fantastic if Toontrack started a community forum whereby users could upload and share their drum project creations similar to what Line 6 has done with their Custom Tone user forum. (https://line6.com/customtone/browse/podfarm/). For those unfamiliar with PodFarm, similar to EZ Drummer 2 except for guitar tones, one has the ability to combine dozens of amps, stomp boxes, effects, mixers, etc. in any manner whatsoever in order to create unlimited guitar tones. I don’t own one amp or stomp box or anything but I can easily make my Strat tone sound like Jimi Hendrix in Red House, (the playing is another thing altogether!) simply by going to the Line 6 Custom Tone user forum, searching for Hendrix Red House and finding dozens of presets people have uploaded – all rated by popularity, number of downloads, etc. The info on each preset indicates how to set up your guitar pickups combination (neck, middle, bridge) as well as volume and tone settings and voila… Jimi is in the house. Easy as that.
So what if in a Toontrack custom drum user forum one could search for say, Led Zeppelin When the Levee Breaks, and simply download that drum project instead of having to fuss around figuring out like Michael Sanfllipp did in his video using Superior Drummer 3.

Better still, wouldn’t it be cool if one could simply record an isolated drum clip from any song… say again the opening couple of bars that have the stand alone drums of Led Zeppelin When the Levee Breaks, feed it into EZ Drummer 2 then Toontracks AI software finds the best matches as well as the groove beat. How great would that be? Your software engineers are incredible wizards so I’m certain they could make this happen.
