Turn Cached mode on and off via MIDI

We use multiple instances of SD3 on multiple projects that we use in our live show. The ram usage is a respectable 3 GB unless we turn Cached mode off, then it leaps to 12 GB even with all the bleed turned off.

Of course, when we start playing with Cached mode enabled the stuttering while loading is a poor way to start a song.

If we could turn Cached mode on and off via MIDI it could be turned off automatically before we even begin playing, causing the samples to be loaded before we start playing. At the end of the song we could send a MIDI signal to turn Cached mode back on, unloading all of the samples and reclaiming ram.

Thank you for your consideration,

Terry Kack
