Toontrack is unlikely to comment, speculate or disclose products in development.
(like any company trading in proprietary intellectual property, tools, toys, products and services.)

It appears that Tap2Find was part of an extensive rewrite of the EZDrummer product.
Being that SuperiorDrummer has many features and many options never available in EZDrummer,
I’m guessing that if Tap2Find is on the roadmap for any future version of SuperiorDrummer2, 3 or 15,
the programming may not be as easy to implement as in EZDrummer.

Gseshleman, I understand the limitations of EZD. I understand the power of SD2. I also understand they are totally different products. However It’s a necessary feature that should be in SD2. SD2 has midi packs and the product is sold on the basis of having those as a “feature”.

If there is anyone else who agrees I think they should chime in and post their statement of agreement here. I would hope that TT will work on features that it’s users want. When I get a request for a piece of music to sound like [insert commercial song title here], I want to be able to zero on on the grooves that will get me there as soon as possible. Certainly there are other composers here who also must present deliverables within a very short deadline. It also seems silly to me to spend over $1,000 on software and then need to spend an additional $179 just to do a search.

    Hi,

    and thanks for your input.
The new features of EZdrummer 2 such as Tap2Find, Edit Play Style, the Song Track, etc. has been requested by other users to be implemented in Superior 2.
Please do not forget that Superior 2 is a more than 5 year old plugin and EZdrummer 2 is brand new.
Toontrack always listens to the user base but, as user gseshleman writes, can’t comment directly on which products and features will be released in the future.
