I’d like to suggest the ability to find similar grooves by part inside the grid editor rather than having to tab back and forth between the grid and groove tabs. Added bonus would be if we could hot swap or scroll through groove parts in real time in order to easily hear the difference between a 16th and 8th note pattern on the hi-hats, for instance. This seems like it could be pretty easily added to one of the existing dropdown menus in the grid editor.
It was you who I sent here from facebook, right? 🙂
Thanks for posting the request here, it’s easier for us to keep track of requests when they are posted here…
I’ll take a note of your request, since it would be a cool feature…
Note that you can detach the Grooves tab and find stuff in Grooves that you can add to you MIDI on the song track, while having the Grid Editor opened.
For example, in the Grooves tab: select a file that has a hi-hat play style you like, select the file and drag the “hi-hat” from the Groove Parts on the right side, to the MIDI on the song track. Now you have the new hi-hat play style added to the MIDI you are working on in the Grid Editor…
