Questions about specific pack and where to install

I just installed SD3 and it’s really great. I have the sounds on the official external SSD which also works fine.
Today I got an issue though, using the Product Manager I downloaded the Koloss SD2.0 pack which I used to run under SD2 but after installing using the manager it doesn’t show up in the SD3 and pointing a new path to any of these just yields this error: “No sound libraries found in selected directory”.

What am I missing here?

My other question is related to where to install some of my older SDX’s, I would like to install it on a separate external drive and while I can point the download to that drive, upon install it always seems to go on my main drive where I want it. Is this changeable?

Hi,

the Koloss pack requires the N.Y. – Avatar SDX installed.
If you already have it installed on one drive, you can move it and point to it from the SD3 Libraries settings.
If you do install it again, you should have the option to Custom install to your desired location.
When the N.Y.-Avatar SDX is installed and you are able to load it in SD3, you should be able to install the Koloss pack and it should be visible in the Presets menu when Avatar library is loaded.

Sweet thank you, that makes a lot of sense.

I installed another SDX successfully to my external drive last night so I’ll do the same today with the NY-Avatar pack. My follow up question to this though, and I apologize if I didn’t get this from your answer is if I try to install the Koloss pack after installing the NY-Avatar pack will I be able to pick where I install the Koloss files or do I have to (if possible of course) move them manually off my main drive after install?

Toontrack software is crap…even when you purchase a library you have difficulty downloading it and adding it to either EZD2 or SD3…I’ll never buy toontrack software again..
