Release notes for Superior Drummer 3.2.1

Superior Drummer 3.2.1 is now available to download using the Product Manager or from the ‘My Products’ area in your Toontrack account. Please note that version 3.2.1 is required for the support of Superior Drummer 3 products released from this point forward (Q3 2020).

BUG FIXES

General

  • It should no longer crash when loading a project or undoing with a song block that had had its amount of percussion (“future hits”) changed.
  • Some drum kit presets were not read correctly, usually resulting in a kick not getting loaded.
  • CC MIDI events were not read correctly.

Song Track

  • Merging song blocks, or pasting into a block, erased all preceding blocks and set the start time of the merged block to the beginning of the track.
  • Pasting into a block, undoing and then redoing did not bring back the correct state.
  • CC information was not recorded correctly.
  • CC information was not written when exporting or dragging from the song track.
  • Pasting CC from one block to another didn’t work.
  • Improved the interpolation of CC events to CC nodes.
  • Copy-dragging blocks (with modifier alt on Mac and ctrl on Windows) on the song track could cause a crash if the mouse moved away from the song track during the drag.
  • Pressing the mouse with modifier cmd on Mac and ctrl on Windows and then immediately dragging (or accidentally moving the mouse slightly) did not select the block. Also, that block and the ones that were selected were moved to unexpected positions when the mouse was released.

Grid Editor

  • The velocity ramp controls are back.
  • The velocity editor top margin was too small.
  • The aftertouch editor was not painted correctly.

Grooves Tab

  • The Tap2Find metronome was broken for most time signatures other than 4/4.

Mixer

  • On Retina Macs, the Tape Simulator “wheel” graphics are a bit smoother now.
